About S'more's Outdoors

What this site is

S'more's Outdoors builds small, free, browser-based tools for people who camp out of their rigs — RVers, van lifers, truck campers, and weekend car campers. Every tool runs entirely in your browser: no account, no signup, no app to install, and nothing you type is sent to a server. Enter your numbers, get your answer, get back outside. Every tool keeps working offline once you’ve visited it — handy at a signal-less campsite — and each result can be saved as a PDF or shared as a link that reopens the tool with your inputs filled in. Pick US, Metric, or UK Imperial units from the toggle in the header and every tool converts automatically.

The tools

Why the tools are free

The site is free, and is designed to pay for itself through advertising and affiliate links to camping gear we'd recommend anyway. S'more's Outdoors may include Amazon affiliate links; if you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That's the whole business model: useful tools, honest math, and clearly-marked ways the site covers its hosting.

Our approach to accuracy

Every calculator explains its assumptions in a "how the math works" section, and every output is an estimate — rigs, habits, and hardware vary. Where safety is involved (towing weights, propane, electrical loads), we say so plainly and point you to the physical checks that outrank any calculator: the sticker in your door jamb, a CAT scale, a CO detector, your owner's manual. Each tool's disclaimer spells this out.

Suggest a tool or a fix

Spotted a wrong number, or wish a tool existed? We genuinely want to hear it — use the "Got a tool idea?" form on the home page, see the contact page, or use the built-in suggestion form in the leveling calculator to submit vehicle specs for the database.
