1. Acceptance of Terms

How Long Can We Boondock? ("the Service") is a free, browser-based calculator published by S'more's Outdoors ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

The Service helps you estimate how many days your RV's fresh water, grey water, and black water holding tanks will last while boondocking (dry camping), based on the tank capacities, crew size, and usage habits you enter — showers, dishwashing, toilet type, drinking and cooking water, and any extra water jugs you carry. It also identifies which tank is likely to limit your trip and suggests ways to stretch it.

The Service requires no account, no signup, and no payment. All calculations happen in your browser.

3. Estimates Only — No Warranty of Accuracy

Every number the Service produces is an estimate built on averaged assumptions about water use — real consumption varies substantially with habits, climate, equipment, and the accuracy of your tank size entries. Tank level senders in RVs are also notoriously inaccurate. You are solely responsible for verifying your actual tank capacities, monitoring your real water use, and carrying adequate reserve drinking water before relying on any output of this Service, especially in remote areas where running out of water can be dangerous.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) misuse the Service to submit malicious code or attempt to disrupt it; (b) scrape or bulk-extract the Service's content for redistribution as a competing product without permission; or (c) misrepresent Service output as a certified, professional, or guaranteed measurement of your water supply.

5. Third-Party Links, Advertising & Affiliate Links

The Service may display advertising (including Google AdSense) and affiliate links (including Amazon Associates links) to third-party products such as water jugs, low-flow showerheads, holding tank treatments, and portable waste totes. We may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through those links, at no additional cost to you. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the availability, pricing, or content of third-party sites you reach through these links.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service's design, code, and the "How Long Can We Boondock?" and "S'more's Outdoors" names are owned by S'more's Outdoors. Any third-party product or brand names referenced by the Service are trademarks of their respective owners; their use here is solely descriptive and does not imply any affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT ANY CALCULATION WILL BE ACCURATE FOR YOUR SPECIFIC RIG, CREW, OR TRIP.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, S'MORE'S OUTDOORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROPERTY OR PERSONAL INJURY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE, INCLUDING HARM CAUSED BY RUNNING OUT OF WATER IN A REMOTE LOCATION, DEHYDRATION, OR AN OVERFILLED HOLDING TANK. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED $0, AS THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE.

9. Changes to the Service and These Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. Material changes will update the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which S'more's Outdoors operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
